Catholic University of Ghana was represented at the 6th International Research Conference

The 6th International Research Conference, was held at the Cedi Conference Centre, University of Ghana in May, 2024.  The event brought together experts and scholars to discuss the pressing issue of health inequalities in Ghana. One of the standout presentations was by Chinaza Adaobi Chukwuma, a Master of Public Health student at the Catholic University of Ghana. Chukwuma’s presentation was on the topic "Bridging the Gap: Addressing Inequalities in Physical and Mental Health, and Healthcare in Ghana."

Chukwuma highlighted the significant divide between urban and rural healthcare access, quality, and affordability. Her research emphasized how socio-economic factors disproportionately affect the most vulnerable populations. She provided an in-depth analysis of the current state of Ghana’s healthcare system, focusing on the disparities in both physical and mental health services.

Miracle Atianashie, also from the School of Graduate Studies, Catholic University of Ghana made a presentation on the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on governance, democracy, and elections. This presentation was delivered alongside other esteemed scholars. The research, titled "The Transformative Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Governance, Democracy, and Elections," delves into the profound ways AI is reshaping these critical societal pillars.
