New Date Set for the SRC Week's Flagship Excursion to Mole National Park

  • April 19, 2024   Category: SRC

The Student Representative Council (SRC) of the Catholic University of Ghana announces a new date for the much-awaited SRC Week's flagship excursion to Mole National Park. Initially planned for today, April 18, 2024, the excursion has been rescheduled to April 27, 2024, due to unforeseen circumstances.

In the spirit of the SRC Week's theme, "Exploring Nature, Encouraging Conservation," the Council is dedicated to offering the student body an opportunity to experience Ghana's rich biodiversity first-hand. The decision to postpone the trip was made with the safety and enjoyment of all participants in mind. The SRC extends its apologies for any scheduling conflicts that may arise from this change and expresses gratitude to the students for their flexibility and understanding.

Mole National Park is a sanctuary of flora and fauna and is one of the most distinguished conservation areas in West Africa. This rescheduled trip is not only a time for relaxation and enjoyment but also serves as an educational platform to promote wildlife conservation awareness among students. The additional nine days will also give more students the chance to clear their schedules and join this venture into the wild.

For those who have yet to secure their spots, the SRC encourages swift action. The registration fee, now set at GHC 330.00, covers the entrance fee to Mole National Park, round-trip transportation, and guided tours of the Larabanga Mosque and the Mysterious Stone — two historical treasures that provide a window into Ghana's cultural legacy.

To join the excursion, payments can be made via mobile money:

  • MOMO NUMBER: 0543741445
  • MOMO NAME: Ataa Agyeiwaa Jr.
  • REFERENCE: SRCmoleTour

With the limited number of seats available, timely registration is key to ensuring participation in this memorable experience.

The journey to Mole National Park will commence from the university premises. Participants are expected to gather in front of the hostel by 4:00 am, with departure promptly at 4:30 am on April 27th. The SRC stresses the importance of punctuality to facilitate a smooth and timely departure.

For additional queries and clarifications, students can reach out to the SRC via the contact numbers provided: 0247525499, 0543741445. The SRC is committed to transparent and continuous communication to ensure that all students are well-informed of any developments.

This excursion stands as a testament to the SRC's commitment to enriching student life through engaging activities that extend beyond the classroom. The SRC thanks the university administration for their unwavering support and the student body for their enthusiastic participation.

We look forward to a safe and exhilarating exploration of Ghana's natural heritage. Keep an eye on the university's official communication channels for further updates on SRC Week and other upcoming events.
