Vice Chancellor's Welcome Message

Dear Esteemed Members of the Catholic University of Ghana Community,

It is with a heart full of joy and anticipation that I warmly welcome all of you to our noble institution. As the Vice-Chancellor of the Catholic University of Ghana, I am deeply honored to be part of a community that is not only a center of academic excellence but also a beacon of moral and spiritual values grounded in our rich Catholic tradition.

Our university is more than just an institution of higher learning; it is a vibrant community where minds and hearts are nurtured to grow in knowledge, wisdom, faith, and service. We are committed to providing an educational experience that is holistic, exciting, and deeply transformative. Our curriculum is meticulously crafted to not only impart academic knowledge but to also instill a sense of social responsibility, ethical conduct, and spiritual depth in our students.

In this academic year, we look forward to an exciting and enriching journey of intellectual exploration and personal growth. Our faculty, renowned for their expertise and dedication, are here to guide you through this journey. They are not just educators, but mentors who will challenge and inspire you to reach your highest potential. Our staff is dedicated to creating a supportive and welcoming environment where every student can thrive.

We are particularly proud of our diverse community. Here, you will meet peers from various backgrounds, each with unique perspectives and experiences to share. This diversity enriches our campus culture, making it a place where learning extends beyond the classrooms. I encourage you to engage in open and respectful dialogue, to learn from each other, and to build lasting friendships.

As you embark on this journey, I urge you to fully immerse yourself in the life of the university. Don’t just pass through the university but allow the university to pass through you. Participate in our numerous clubs and societies, volunteer in community service projects, and partake in the spiritual activities that form the core of our identity. These experiences will not only enrich your time here but will also prepare you to be compassionate leaders and agents of change in the world at large.

Finally, remember that you are now part of a family bound by faith and a shared commitment to excellence. Let us work together to uphold the values we cherish and to create a future that is bright with hope and full of possibilities.

Once again, welcome to the Catholic University of Ghana. May this academic year be filled with success, growth, and joy. I remain with the assurances of the highest esteem.

May God bless us all.

Sincerely,

Professor Daniels Kwabena Obeng-Ofori
