Mr. Harry Henry Akosah is the new Registrar of CUCG

The Catholic University College of Ghana, Fiapre welcomes Mr. Henry Harry Akosah as the new Registrar. The pivotal role the office of the registrar plays is crucial for the smooth administration of the numerous activities within and outside the confines of the University. Hence, the appointment of Mr. Akosah was a welcome relief to the staff of the University particularly those working under and with him.

Mr. H. H. Akosah hails from Bekwai in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He had his elementary school education at R/C Primary and Middle Schools at Bekwai-Ashanti. On completion of his elementary school education, he proceeded to Atebubu Teacher Training College where he obtained Teachers’ Certificate ‘A’. He furthered his education at the University of Ghana where he pursued Bachelor of Art and Master of Philosophy programmes and was awarded BA and MPhil degrees. His other qualifications include ieMBA and IHRM levels 1 and 2.

He has taught at the basic, secondary and tertiary levels. He was offered appointment as Assistant Registrar at the University for Development Studies, Tamale, and served in that capacity for over 2 years. He also worked at KNUST where he rose through the ranks from Assistant Registrar to Deputy Registrar. He also served as College Registrar for the College of Health Sciences and the College of Art and Built Environment while working at KNUST.

He has offered various services including, serving as Member of Council of Convocation of KNUST, Assistant Examiner (A’ level, BECE and SSSCE), Vice-Chairman of KNUST Primary School PTA, Member of Interview Panels, Chairman of some committees at KNUST, Senior Tutor of Distance Education programme (University of Cape Coast) and secretary to many Statutory and Non-Statutory Committees of public universitiesin Ghana. He is married with four children.
