Biography
Mr. Paul Tabi-Arhin is a lecturer of English in Catholic University of Ghana, Fiapre, near Sunyani and is currently lecturing various English courses including Master of Philosophy in English and Curriculum Studies in English in Post-Diploma Graduate in Diploma Education courses. He handles such courses as Methods of Teaching English Language and Principles and Methods of Teaching English Language (English). He also lectures in Phonetics and Phonology at Post Graduate Diploma in Education.
Besides these courses, he also conducts pre-university courses at levels 400, 300 and 200. The courses are Major European Writers, Ghanaian Literature, English Literary Criticism, African Oral Literature, Phonetics and Phonology, Introduction to Meaning, Methods of Teaching English, Micro –Teaching, External Teaching Practice, Project Work, Assessment of English and Techniques of Poetry.
He is a prolific writer who has written such books as Practical English Methods, Practical English Usage, and Studies in English Literary Criticism and English Language Studies.
Before his retirement in 2013, he was the principal of Atebubu College of Education. Before then, he was the head of English Department as well as the secretary of Berekum College of Education. Besides, he was also the team leader of English at Institute of Education, Cape Coast University. He was also a team leader and a resource person at Ghana Education Service. He conducts workshops for IFESH, EQUALL, and Ghana Book Trust nationally.
In 2013, he was awarded National Best Teacher (Second Runner Up) and was rewarded with a saloon car.
