Profile of the LARISSA AGBEMELO-TSOMAFO

Biography

Larissa Agbemelo –Tsomafo a former acting head of the Language Unit in Catholic University of Ghana holds an Mphil in French from University of Ghana. She had her first degree in a combination of French language and Linguistics in 2007, went for her linguistics trip in Benin where she had a diploma in French studies (Diplôme Universitaire d’Etudes Francaise - D.U.E.F) and is currently pursuing her PhD (French) in Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She served as a teaching assistant in University of Ghana in 2007 and in University of Guelph, Canada in Fall 2009 during her exchange programme for master’s degree. Her research areas include education, phonetics and teaching of french as a foreign language (FLE).

Employed in Catholic University of Ghana, since August 2010 as a lecturer in French, she served as a member of the Matriculation and Graduation committee, Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee which established the Marian Conflict Resolution Centre, CUG Business Committee, Chaplaincy Committee and Examination Malpractice Committee. As part of her professional development, she acquired the following certificates while lecturing.
