The Centre for Enrichment Studies coordinates and directs the courses that are taken by all first year students. In subsequent years, CES may offer and coordinate other courses of general interest that do not pertain to a particular Faculty. Initially the number of these courses is limited, but they will increase as the University matures.
The CES has introduced Certificate courses in English and French during the 2010/2011 academic year. The Certificate courses are designed to help students and non-students who are desirous of acquiring a particular proficiency level in French and/ or English and obtaining a certificate.
Candidates for the certificate courses are admitted on flexible terms requiring only the ability to read and write. Candidates admitted are made to sit for a placement test to know the level at which they will be classified so as to be given them appropriate attention and help.
The Centre also runs a Transbureau where the University Community, the general public, institutions and organizations can have their documents professionally translated at competitive prices.
