The Vice-Chancellor in his address a hinted that the University College will continue to develop innovative and demand-driven academic programmes to meet the needs of industry and the national developmental agenda.
He indicated that CUCG is committed to inculcating creativity and innovation in its students. In this regard, CUCG has established the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation to harness the Entrepreneurial and innovative skills of its students.
On the establishment of the Marian Law School, he said "it is noteworthy that a lot of Lawyers are looking for opportunities to further their law degrees to LLM and PhD so as to join the academia.
Thus, there is a strong justification for CUCG to carve a niche for itself by running LLM and PhD in Law in the Marian Law School".

Research Output
A Competitive Research Fund has been established in the 2017/18 academic year to fund research especially for early career researchers. Management has challenged each faculty to publish at least 2 research articles in peer reviewed journals and publishes a year.

Staff Development
All categories of staff are being encouraged and supported to build their capacities through further training both locally and abroad. We are committed to support all academic staff to obtain terminal degrees sooner than later.

Application for Grant of Presidential Charter
The GCBC, the Church, Management and staff are working assiduously to meet the basic requirements to enable us apply for a Presidential Charter by the end of 2018.

Endowment Fund
A Committee constituted by the GCBC, chaired by the Most Rev. Gabriel Kumordji (Bishop of Keta-Akatsi) has developed modalities and a comprehensive programme and plan to mobilize funds to establish the CUCG Endowment Fund.

The Vice-Chancellor was speaking at the 15th Congregation and 23rd Matriculation ceremony of the Catholic University College of Ghana, Fiapre.
