CO-OPERATION BETWEEN CHESTNUT HILL COLLEGE AND CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF GHANA

 

The members of the African Sisters Education Collaborative (ASEC: Marywood University, Neumann University, Chestnut Hill College and Rosemont College) which are Catholic Universities in the United State of America visited CUCG. The  Chestnut Hill College (Representing ASEC and its HESA Program) has on 30th October, 2013 established a partnership with the Catholic University College of Ghana (CUCG).

 The initiation is christened Higher Education for Sisters in Africa (HESA). The nature of the partnership is academic and would lead to a bachelor’s of education degree for Catholic Sisters to be conferred by CUCG.


KIND OF CO-OPERATION
ASEC’S goal is to increase education for women religious in Africa by helping to educate them and thus enable them to acquire credentials for teaching, healthcare and spiritual or social service ministries in their countries
By establishing a joint program and a partnership with CUCG, ASEC will be able to make higher education accessible for many more sisters.
